2 further representations have been made by local residents supporting the proposed change of use, commenting that the re-use of a vacant building is welcomed; that it would help local businesses by increasing pedestrian footfall in the area; and that it provides a different service to other existing A1 and A3 uses in the area and therefore unlikely to significantly harm the trading of other local businesses.

These issues have been covered in the committee report and my recommendation remains unchanged.
