Summary of Proposed Changes
· Enforcement Review moved to 2023/24 Committee Work Programme
· Health Inequality Review moved to 2023/24 Committee Work Programme
· Change to the Safety Review.
This review was originally intended to cover 1) safety in the town centre and 2) the night-time economy
Proposed Changes:
o Continue Internal Stakeholder Consultation at the 20 December OSC acting as the C&D Committee Meeting.
o Present recommended actions and draft report to February 2023 meeting.
o Cancel January 2023 meeting (see below explanation)
o Conduct a Shared Review on the night-time economy with the Policy, Communities and Engagement and Economic Development Teams. These teams have already been tasked with reviewing the night-time and twilight economies.
o The scope is intended to be wide ranging, and the data collection process has already commenced.
o These teams would provide an information pack at the February 2023 meeting and inform the Committee of the review’s scope and ask for the Committee’s contributions to this. These teams have been consulted and the timeline is suitable to them, and there will be no impact to the review by it commencing in February 2023.
o The teams would continue seeking the Committee’s input into the review throughout the process, looking to conclude the policy review around April 2023.
· Water Management Cycle Working Group will be interviewing External Stakeholders in the week commencing 23 January 2023.
o To manage the Committee’s workload appropriately, it’s proposed to cancel the January 2023 meeting to allow the working group to focus on progressing the WMC review.
