1. INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
1.1 The Relief in Need Charities provide grants to individuals and organisations who are in need, hardship or distress.
1.2 Residents of the former Borough of Maidstone, as constituted prior to the local government reorganisation in 1974, are eligible to seek support.
1.3 There is currently one vacancy for a trustee, and another of the trustee’s membership will expire in March 2022. Any Member can apply for these positions.
1.4 The Trustees are appointed by the Democracy and General Purposes Committee for a term of 4 years, and Councillor Daley has expressed an interest on continuing his term after it expires in March 2022.
