To apply for planning permission you need to submit a planning application to us. All planning applications are required to be submitted on a standard form and can be submitted online through the Planning Portal. Before applying for planning permission we suggest you read the information on whether you need planning permission.

Make a planning application on paper


You can apply by finding and filling in the appropriate application form on our Planning Portal and sending it with all the supporting documents to:

You need to send us four copies of each document including the application form and pay the right fee. You can pay by using our online form. Before you do, you should see what supporting documents you need to include.

Discharge conditions on planning applications


Once an application has been decided it may be accompanied by conditions. Some of these conditions will require agreement from the Local Planning Authority to be discharged and signed off.

To do this you will be required to submit an application to the Local Authority via the planning portal.

Please note that a fee will be required -  £34.00 will be required for householder only applications and all other applications require a fee of £116.00.
