Request a tree planting
Anyone can ask for a tree to be planted on our land. You cannot plant a tree yourself as it may damage our ecosystem.
Planting costs
It is free to submit a request, but we cannot guarantee that your tree will be planted. We will check that:
- it will not cause damage to property, roads or footpaths
- there is enough space for the tree to grow
- the tree is suitable for the area
- funding is available
When you apply, you can donate to help pay for:
- buying the tree
- looking after the tree
- watering and supplies
Make a planting request
To apply, email to parksandopenspaces@maidstone.gov.uk and tell us:
- your name
- your postcode
- the species of the tree
- where you would like the tree planted
- why you would like it planted there
What happens next
Our parks officer will look at your request. We will let you know if you are successful. If your request is accepted, your tree will be planted in the autumn planting season.
