Trees and Grass

Problems with our trees

Trees in parks and open spaces

On land owned by the Borough we deal with:

  • The health of the tree
  • The safety of the tree
  • A fallen tree
  • Damage being caused by the tree

We do not deal with a tree if it is about:

  • Light or shading
  • Blocked TV signals
  • Falling leaves or seeds
  • Overhanging branches

Other locations:

Trees that are on Golding Homes land are maintained by Golding Homes.

Roadside/Highways trees

Trees that border the highway are maintained by Kent County Council’s Highways Department.

Trees that border onto a public right of way are maintained by the landowner. To find out who owns a piece of land you should contact the Land Registry.

If there is a problem with one of our trees, try to get as much information as you can about the tree before reporting it to us. This includes the exact location and any nearby landmarks.
