Gambling permits


Before applying

We're responsible for issuing:

  • Automatic entitlement notification permits
  • Licensed premises gaming machine permits
  • Unlicensed family entertainment centres, or game machine permits
  • Prize gaming permits
  • Club gaming permits and club machine permits

A Club gaming machine permit allows up to three category B4, C and D gaming machines but no other types of gaming.

A Club gaming permit allows up to three category B4, C and D gaming machines and other types of gaming such as bingo.

If you have more than two machines you must apply for a licensed premise gaming machine permit for categories C and D. Owners of bars with two or fewer machines of category C and D can apply for an automatic entitlement notification permit.
