The DWPs target of

dealing with 80% of claimants via on online self service should be investigated by the Head of Revenues and Benefits and his findings on this reported back to the Committee;

Steve McGinnes should provide 2 to 3 real-case scenarios such as a family a single person and a couple or pensioner and prepare a brief presentation to show the real financial calculation and impact of the changes; and

The Committee should keep a watching brief of Welfare Reform and the timeframes for implementation.  The Head of Revenues and Benefits should provide the Scrutiny Officer with important updates in order to keep the Committee up to date.
