ASSET MANAGEMENT PLAN 2012-2015
Issue for Decision
To consider the adoption of the Council’s Asset Management Plan 2012-2015.
Recommendation Made
That Council be recommended to adopt the revised Asset Management Plan 2012-15 (attached as Appendix A).
Reasons for Recommendation
The Corporate Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee considered the Asset Management Plan 2012-15 at its meeting on 12 June 2012. Its recommendations have been considered by the Cabinet Member for Corporate Services and the Plan was subsequently amended before being considered by Cabinet.
The Cabinet considered the report of the Assistant Director of Environment and Regulatory Services regarding the Asset Management Plan 2012-15 at their meeting on 8 August 2012.
The Cabinet were informed of some minor amendments to the Asset Management Plan which were agreed and the amended version of the Asset Management Plan 2012-2015, as agreed by Cabinet, is attached at Appendix A.
Alternatives considered and why not recommended
Council could agree not to adopt the updated Asset Management Plan. However, this is not recommended as it is the duty of a well-run Authority to strategically manage its assets to reflect current and planned needs
