41. Apologies for Absence
An apology for absence was received from Councillor Mrs Stockell.

There were no Substitute Members.

RESOLVED: That the Items on the Agenda be taken in public as proposed.
47. Minutes
RESOLVED: That the Minutes of the Meeting held on 19 November 2012 be approved as a correct record and signed.
48. Council Tax - Tax Base 2013 14
The Group considered the report of the Head of Finance and Customer Services regarding the Tax Base for 2013/14 for Council Tax purposes.
RESOLVED:
1. That, in accordance with the Local Authority (Calculation of Council Tax Base) (England) Regulations 2012, the amount calculated by this authority as its Council Tax Base for the year 2013/14 shall be 55155.1.
1. That, in accordance with the Local Authority (Calculation of Council Tax Base) (England) Regulations 2012, the amount calculated by this Authority as the Council Tax Base for each Parish area, as identified in Appendix B to the report of the Head of Finance and Customer Services, for the year 2013/14 be approved.
49. Nominations to Outside Bodies
The Group considered the report of the Head of Democratic Services regarding nominations to Outside Bodies.
RESOLVED:
1. That Councillor Cox be nominated as the Council’s representative on Vinters Valley Park Trust for a term of two years commencing 7 September 2012.
2. That Mr Bob Hinder be nominated as the Council’s representative on the Maidstone Sea Cadets for a term of four years commencing 19 November 2012.
3. That Councillors be requested to submit nominations for the outstanding vacancies on Age Concern and Kent County Playing Fields one more time and, if no nominations are received, then staff and Parish Councillors be requested to submit nominations.
