Meetings

Most of our meetings are held at Maidstone Town Hall in the High Street. We have wheelchair facilities, including lifts and toilets. There's also an induction loop.

You're more than welcome to attend, however for confidential or exempt items on the agenda, you'd be asked to leave.

Asking questions

Open

Questions are limited to one per person and need to be emailed to committeeservices@maidstone.gov.uk, along with the name and address of the person asking the question and the Councillor it's for, by 5pm one working day before the meeting.

For example, if the meeting is on a Wednesday, questions would need to be with us by 5pm the Monday before.

Full Council

Open

Our Committee Chairman's will answer any questions, however the question and answer session will be limited to an hour.

The Party/Group Leaders will also get a chance to respond.

Service committee

Open

The Committee Chairman will answer any questions; however the question and answer session will be limited to 30 minutes.

Maidstone Joint Transportation Board

Open

You can ask questions or make statements about any transport issue or item on the agenda.

There’s a limit of 10 speakers per meeting. Each person will speak for three minutes and must register by 3pm on the day of the meeting.

Planning committee

Open

You can ask questions about the application being considered at the meeting.

Each person will speak for three minutes and must register by 4pm on the working day before the meeting.
