Maidstone Market
Maidstone Market takes place every Tuesday and Saturday from 7.30am to 1.00pm. The market offers a variety of stalls such as:
- fruit and vegetables
- fresh fish
- local produce
- flowers
- bric-a-brac
- household items
- groceries
The market has a mix of outdoor and covered outdoor pitches. On Tuesdays and Saturdays we also have a boot fair. Our social media Twitter and Facebook are regularly updated with what stalls we have on the day.
Apply for a pitch
To apply for a pitch fill out our application form and email it to us. You will need to provide a copy of:
- your public liability insurance (covering £5 million)
- a valid photo ID
Applications take up to two days to process and we will contact you to let you know of the outcome. We cannot guarantee that you will get a pitch.
Cost
We have three sizes of standard pitches available:
- 6 metre pitch: £20
- 9 metre pitch: £30
- 12 metre pitch: £40
Our quarterly local produce and craft fair is held in Lockmeadow Entertainment Complex and offers two types of pitch:
- 3 metre pitch: £15
- 6 metre pitch: £30
All payments for pitches need to paid by card. We cannot accept cash.
Boot fair
Our boot fair pitches are available to anyone selling second hand goods. You must book by emailing jeffrobinson@maidstone.gov.uk. The site is open from 6am for traders. When you go to the site if you go to the office, one of our staff they will help you before you set up. They will also take the payment for the pitch (card payments only). All pitches are outdoor and refunds will not be given due to bad weather.
Cost
A single pitch is two car parking spaces and costs £10. For two additional spaces, we charge £10 extra. All payments for pitches need to paid by card. We cannot accept cash.
Facilities
We have parking for all traders and customers. There is also a café and toilets are available.
