Opening times
You can access Mote Park on foot at all times, but the Mote Avenue car park gates close at set times.

You can also access the park from Willington Street in Bearstead and School Lane in Shepway.
Parking
Maidstone Leisure Centre, Willington Street, and School Lane car parks are open 24 hours. Mote Avenue main car park opens at 8am and closes:
- January to February - 5pm
- March - 7pm
- April - 8.30pm
- May to August - 9.30pm
- September - 8:30pm
- October - 8.30pm
- November to December - 5pm
- closed on Christmas Day
Disabled parking
Mote Avenue has 13 free disabled bays, and School Lane has two. If the disabled spaces are full, you can park in a standard bay if your badge is on display.

You can also apply for a parking permit. All money raised is used to maintain the park.

At Mote Park, you will find:
- café serving snacks, drinks, and ice cream
- three children's play areas and a natural woodland play area for ages 8 to 15 years
- toilets, including disabled toilets
- outdoor training equipment
- a ‘Red Bull’ digger BMX Track
- a football pitch
- a rugby pitch
- football and rugby pitches
- Mote Park Water Sports Centre
- Maidstone Leisure Centre
- an adventure zone
- a skate park
Other activities
Some things in Mote Park are run by clubs or local businesses. You may need a permit or pay a fee to take part in some activities.
Angling
You need a permit to fish at Mote Park. To buy a permit, you will need a rod licence. Visit the Maidstone Victory Angling and Medway Preservation Society for more information.
Fellowship
The Mote Park Fellowship is a group of residents who help to look after the park. For more information, email secretary@moteparkfellowship.co.uk or visit the Mote Park Facebook Page.
Learning packs
You can use our education packs to help you explore and learn about the park. The packs are aimed at children aged between four and eleven years old and include maps, trails, and activities.
Model boats
The boats are based near the boat house on the lake. For more information visit the Maidstone Cygnets Model Boat Club website.
Model railway
The Maidstone Model Engineering Society runs the model railway. It is open in the summer on Sundays and bank holidays between 2.30pm and 5pm. It costs 30 pence per ride.
Volunteering
Volunteers meet every Wednesday between 9.30am and 1pm at the office next to the Pitch and Putt. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. If you would like to be a volunteer, email parksandleisure@maidstone.gov.uk.
