Garden Waste collection routes
Changes to collection routes
We’re making changes to our garden waste bin collection routes which will affect some households.
These changes will make sure that the collection vehicles follow the most efficient routes whilst the service remains both reliable and cost-effective. The contractor has also built in some allowance for future growth of the service.
This will mean that from 21st September 2020 the collection vehicles will be following new routes and some residents will have a change to their collection day.
We’ll write to every household affected by the new routes. This letter will tell you your new collection day. We’ll also send you a leaflet which will show you what day to present your garden bin from 21st September 2020. If you have not received a letter, your collections have not changed.
Your garden waste will still be collected every two weeks and there is no change to what you can put in your bin.
Collection vehicles will know what properties to collect from as they have PDA’s and electronic records of addresses who have subscribed. Numbering your garden waste bin will help the crew identify your bin against their records.
We’ll only collect garden waste that is inside your bin. Do not overfill your bin or leave extra bags next to the bin as they will not be taken. All waste must go directly into your bin without being placed into bags.
You can find your bin day through our online form.
