Parking

We have two car parks at the Crematorium:

  • The chapel car park for mourners attending services and
  • The visitors' car park by the main entrance. This car park acts as an overflow for larger gatherings at a service. At busier times cars can also use the grassed area at the end of the car park.

Disabled Parking

We have four designated disabled bays. There are two in the chapel car park and two in the visitors' car park.

Officiant of the Chapel

There is a designated space for the Officiant of the Chapel in the chapel car park.

The memorial halls are open every day of the year from 9am – 4.30pm. Vehicles access is every day of the year from 9am to 5pm, except  Friday when the site closes at 4.30pm. Pedestrians have access every day of the year.

Cremations

Open

Most funerals will be arranged through a funeral director, who will take care of the bookings and arrangements for you.

But if you do want to arrange a cremation yourself you will need to make an appointment with us. Call on 01622 602656 or email our Bereavement Services Team and we can go through everything with you.

Prices

See our prices page to find out the various costs with burials and cremations and details about how to pay.

Funerals

Open

Funerals take place Monday to Friday from 9.30am – 3.30pm every 45 minutes.

Funerals are available on Saturdays at 9.30am or 10.15am for an extra cost. See our prices page for a full list of cremation and memorial options.

We have seating for 83 people in the chapel. Standing room is available both inside the chapel and in the courtyard. Audio speakers are available for larger funerals which can be turned on for those that may be standing in the courtyard.

Disabled Access

There is disabled access in all areas around the chapel, cloisters and courtyard with ramped pathways and dropped kerbs. There is a deaf loop system in the chapel and also a disabled toilet next to the chapel. If you need a wheelchair this can be arranged with a member of staff.

Scattering Ashes

Open

There are eight areas for the scattering of ashes at the Crematorium and some dedicated burial plots. We have a statutory duty to keep records of ashes that are scattered within our grounds, so the scattering will need to be arranged in advance with our office.

Ashes can be put into a dedicated plot or family grave at Maidstone Cemetery or they can be taken away to be scattered elsewhere.

There is also a selection of memorials that you can choose from to remember your loved one.
