Summer community support grant
We are supporting community schemes that help local families struggling with food poverty over the summer holidays.
Who can apply
Applications are welcome from local voluntary and community organisations that provide support to Maidstone residents. Organisations can apply between 2 July 2024 and 16 July 2024 for one-off funding between £500 and £5,000.
All applications will be evaluated by a member panel. Success is determined by how much the community will benefit from the proposed project.
Eligible projects include:
- food larders and community food stores
- free hot and cold meals
- food delivery boxes
- providing young people with meals
- food voucher schemes
We will also consider schemes that provide school uniform and shoes.
Applications
Applications should be able to demonstrate:
- what support will be offered how it will be delivered
- how they will encourage Maidstone residents to take part in the scheme or project
- which areas or communities will be supported
- how the grant will be spent
Successful organisations will need to provide feedback and details of how many households were supported.
