Notice of conclusion of audit 2021/22

Report on other legal and regulatory requirements - delay in certification of completion of audit

The external auditors cannot formally conclude the audit and issue an audit certificate for the council for the year ended 31 March 2022 in accordance with the requirements of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Code of Audit Practice. They will be able to do this once they have completed:

  • ‘our work on the authority’s arrangements for securing economy, efficiency and effectiveness in its use of resources and issued our auditor’s Annual Report’

Auditors are satisfied that this work does not have a material effect on the financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2022.

Once this outstanding work has been completed, the formal Notice of Conclusion of Audit can be issued and published.
