Boxley is the
largest parish inthe
boroughwith 7,497 on the
electoral register and a population (2001 census)
of 9,521. Itcovers
the North Downs Area of Outstanding NaturalBeauty.
The parishis mainly rural
but includes the
villages of Boxley and Sandling and
the suburbsof GroveGreen,most
of Weavering Street and some of
VintersPark inthe South and partsof Walderslade and
Lordswood in the North.
The parish has 4
wards and is served by fifteen councillors who are supported by a
Parish Clerk and an Assistant Parish Clerk.
The Council actively
supports and prides itself on keeping in touch with its electorate
and financially supports a number oflocalvolunteer groups and charities. Boxley Parish Council
was awarded Quality Status in 2004 and was successfully
reaccredited in 2008.
