Reasons for Decision
The reasons for each of the cases are either listed below or in the Exempt Appendix to the Report of the Assistant Director of Customer Services.
Madhouse UK Ltd 3194306 The company traded from 86-88 Week Street, Maidstone for the period 22 September 2008 to 29 January 2009. Appropriate recovery action was taken, but the company ceased trading and the company was placed into Liquidation. The Liquidator has advised that there will be no funds available for unsecured creditors.
Jet Star Retail Ltd 3191355 The company traded from Unit 205/205A Water lane, Chequers Centre, King Street, Maidstone for the period 24 May 2008 to 24 November 2008. Appropriate recovery action was taken, but the company ceased trading and an Administrator was appointed. There are neither funds nor goods upon which we could levy distress and the Administrator has advised that there will be no funds available for unsecured creditors.
Casual Dining Holdings Ltd 3167481 The company traded as Coolfresh from Detling Aerodrome, Detling, Maidstone for the period 31 March 2005 to 14 February 2006. Appropriate recovery action was taken, but the company ceased trading and the company was placed into Liquidation. The Liquidator has advised that there will be no funds available for unsecured creditors.
Poundsound (UK) Ltd 3167472 The company traded from 55 Week Street, Maidstone for the period 8 September 2005 to 7 January 2006. Appropriate recovery action was taken, but the company ceased trading and is to be struck off the companies register.
Widor Ltd 318649X The company traded from 37 High Street, Maidstone for the period 24 September 2007 to 30 August 2009. Appropriate recovery action was taken, but the company ceased trading and there are no funds available to settle any debts. Company is to be dissolved.
Alternatives considered and why rejected
The debts could be left on the system, but this would serve no useful purpose and maintain the arrears at an artificially high level.
