Committee details

The Cabinet, consisting of the Leader and Cabinet Members, take decisions on Council services. All decisions must be in line with the overall policy and budget frameworks set by the Council. Cabinet are responsible for:

·  Making key decisions on matters in the Forward Plan covering more than one Cabinet Member portfolio

·  To receive and respond to:

a)  Reports to the Executive from the Overview and Scrutiny Committees, the Monitoring Officer and the Chief Finance Officer; and

b)  Recommendations from Council

·  To receive reports from external and internal auditors

·  To approve draft Development Plan Documents for consultation purposes

·  To receive reports on risk management
