Kent County Council elections
Kent County Council (KCC) operates in a two-tier system. KCC is responsible for certain services across the whole county, including 12 boroughs, city, and district councils. This includes Maidstone Borough Council. County councillors are elected to represent a specific area of Kent.
Elections are scheduled to take place every four years. The last KCC election was held on Thursday 6 May 2021. Current councillors will hold their seat until then unless they resign or otherwise vacate their seat within their term.
Upcoming elections
The next Kent County Council election will be Thursday 1 May 2025. You can find election notices, statements, and polling station information on the KCC notices page.
