The Private Sector Leasing (PSL) scheme

The scheme is designed to simplify your obligations as a landlord whilst ensuring consistent income and hassle-free property management.

We will lease your property as your tenant for a term between 3 and 5 years. In return we offer guaranteed rent payments and a management and repairs service at no cost to you. Your property will be returned to you in the same condition, subject to fair “wear and tear”.

Scheme benefits

What we require

To qualify for the scheme, properties must be in a good liveable condition of any size and meet relevant property standards. Information must be provided upon request and inspections will need to be carried out before any lease can be signed.

We will also need:

  • valid safety certificates including: Gas Safety Certificate, Energy Performance Certificate, Electrical Installation Condition Report and a Fire Safety Certificate (if applicable)
  • the current building insurance schedule/ breakdown of service charges from freeholder showing building insurance
  • consent from your mortgage lender
  • proof of ownership
  • the property to be licenced if it is a house of multiple occupation (HMO)
