Pay your rent


You can pay your rent using our form if you are:

  • in a Maidstone Borough Council home, including an affordable home
  • in temporary accommodation
  • at a Gypsy and Traveller site

We do not accept rent payments for Golding Homes. Find out how to pay your Golding Homes rent.

Affordable and social housing

To pay rent for a council property, you will need your rent reference number. This can be found on your licence or tenancy agreement.

You will need your:

  • rent reference number
  • payment details

Make a rent payment

Payments can take up to 72 hours to show on your account. If you need to discuss your account, please email affordablehousing@maidstone.gov.uk

Temporary accommodation or Gypsy and Traveller sites

To pay rent for temporary accommodation or for a Gypsy and Traveller site, you will need your ten-digit licence agreement number. You can find this in your start-up pack.

You will need your:

  • licence number
  • payment details

You will need to set up a standing order with your bank or building society. Please use your rent account reference number as the payment reference.
