Local Land Charges
The Local Land Charges (LLC) register holds all charges against a property including:
- planning applications
- enforcement notices
- financial charges
We maintain the registers for Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and Swale Borough Councils.
Types of searches
Official and personal searches can be requested by a solicitor or a licenced conveyancer. Search requests cannot be cancelled.
A separate request must be submitted for each property or parcel of land. You may need to pay a fee if:
- there is more than one property or land parcel sold in one transaction
- there are multiple individual properties
- you are paying council tax
This may not apply to all searches.
You can find the prices for each search on our Land Charges fees page.
Official search
LLC1 and CON29 forms must be completed to process an official search. We cannot provide copies of these forms.
We guarantee that the search results are correct.
