Purpose:
To approve the design for the second and final phase of the play area at Cobtree Manor Park (subject to the granting of planning permission).
Decision:
1. That the revised play area design shown in Appendix A to the report of the Cobtree Officer be approved.
2. That the Officers be authorised to submit a planning application incorporating this design for the play area.
Reasons for the decision:
The Committee has approved the Master Plan of which the play area forms a key part. The play area design shown in Appendix A to the report of the Cobtree Officer has been reviewed by the Officers and found to offer considerable improvements upon the original design endorsed by the Committee.
Alternative options considered:
The original design could be used instead, but this is not considered appropriate as it does not offer as much play value as the revised design and funding for the revised design is in place.
