The Director of Finance and
Business Improvement introduced the report, outlining the previous
actions undertaken in dealing with the matter.
The Committee expressed support
for the actions undertaken, which they felt would be for the
betterment of the local area.
Group Leaders would be updated
when possible.
RESOLVED: That
1.
The status of actions as described in the officer
report, be noted;
2.
The potential costs likely to be incurred in order
to achieve the Council’s objectives, be noted;
3.
The Director of Finance and Business Improvement
will represent the Council in mediation proceedings and generally
will seek to negotiate a settlement of the matters described in
this report, be noted; and
4.
The Head of Legal Services will instruct solicitors
to complete such legal formalities and documents as is considered
necessary, be noted.
