Additional Funding – Surfacing Sites - Update Information

 

A report by the Director of Kent Highway Services to the Joint Transportation Board.

 

1.1       Summary

 

1.1.1   As part of the Government settlement following the weather damage, KHS has identified an additional £4,500,000.00 of funding for surface treatments across the County.  Roads have been identified where there was a need to seal the surface following patching works, previous find & fix or local knowledge of specific areas in need of attention.

 

1.1.2   The roads originally identified for Maidstone are listed below with the surface treatment, for the Board’s information.

1.1.3   Having identified the locations, each road was looked at in terms of whether we would be able to achieve the works in the time scales for the relevant surface treatments and by the end of the current contract with Ringway Infrastructure Services.  For the Board’s information, the roads listed below are the roads which made the programme for Surface Dressing and have been completed.
