REPORT OF THE HEAD OF DEMOCRATIC SERVICES

1.       APPOINTMENT OF THE VICE-CHAIRMAN OF THE JOINT TRANSPORTATION BOARD

1.1.1   In accordance with the agreement for the operation of the Joint Transportation Board it is necessary for the Borough Council to appoint the Vice-Chairman of the Board for the Municipal Year 2012/13.

1.1.2   The agreement for the operation of the Board states that the position of Chairman of the Board will be filled alternately by a County Councillor and then a Borough Councillor.  This also applies to the position of Vice-Chairman.  Last year the Borough Council appointed the Chairman and the County Council the Vice-Chairman; therefore these appointments are reversed for the Municipal Year 2012/13.

1.2.   RECOMMENDED:

1.2.1 That the Council appoint the Vice-Chairman of the Joint Transportation Board for the Municipal Year 2012/13.
