If you have bought a property in our area, you need to let us know so that we can bill the correct person. This property may not be your primary residence; it could be a second home or a property you plan to rent out.

We will need to know:

• the date you are buying or have bought
• your new address and old address if it is in our area
• the names of everyone responsible for paying Council Tax

What happens next

Once we’ve been notified of a change, we aim to process your request within 20 working days. Your account will be adjusted, and you will be issued with an amended bill, which will show your new balance

If you are moving from a property in our area, any payments made by Direct Debit will be either refunded, transferred to your new bill, or you will need to complete our refund form.
