Energy efficiency top-up grant

We may be able to help vulnerable homeowners up to a maximum of £5,000 for works to top up other local or nationally funded grants.

Property eligibility

Applicants must have owned their own property for at least three years. They must also be on a means-tested benefit or be more vulnerable to cold. This must be as defined by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidance. 50% of the grant is repayable on sale or transfer of the property.

How to apply

You must be referred by the Kent County Council Occupational Therapy Service, who will arrange an assessment of your needs.

Heating oil support scheme

You can apply for a one-off payment of £300 if you use heating oil and cannot afford to pay for more.
