Christmas waste collections
Over the Christmas period you may be able to recycle more of the waste you have, find out what you can recycle on our Christmas recycling page.
For the two weeks beginning Monday 26 December 2022 and Monday 2 January 2023.
All collections are delayed by one day. Monday properties are rescheduled to Tuesday and so on during the week. Friday collections are delayed to Saturday.
Due to the increase in waste all collections will run slightly slower than usual, bins must be available from 6am.
Garden waste and bulky collections
Garden waste and bulky collections will be suspended from Friday 23 December 2022. Garden waste collections will restart on Monday 9 January 2023 and bulky collections on Tuesday 10 January 2023.
Our clinical collections will run as normal over the Christmas period.
Real Christmas trees can be recycled. Please remember to remove all tinsel, decorations and any pots or stands.
If you subscribe to our collections you can place your tree next to your garden bin and it will be collected with your normal collection. If you do not subscribe you'll need to take your real tree to Tovil tip.
If your artificial tree can still be used and you no longer want it you could take it to a local charity shop. Alternatively you can take it to Tovil tip.
